Lisa A. Cudahy Community Health Grants
Through the Lisa A. Cudahy Community Health Grants, the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation (WWHF) hopes to promote and assist nonprofit community organizations in Wisconsin, committed to education and outreach in women’s health. The grants are awarded every two years.
The Cudahy grants are based on the premise that partnerships between WWHF and local, nonprofit community organizations capitalize on the strengths and unique skills of both organizations. Community organizations bring an in-depth understanding of the public health needs of residents, knowledge of local culture, access to local resources and a commitment from dedicated staff and volunteers. WWHF brings education and research expertise and a service commitment to communities in the state. By partnering with these organizations, WWHF believes it can complement activities that are going on locally to improve the health of women.
