MENTAL ILLNESS
Mental health illnesses are conditions that disrupt a mood, patterns of thinking, feelings, and ability to handle the daily stresses of life. Having a mental illness does not mean you are weak or powerless; mental illnesses are extremely common and very treatable. In fact, in 2009, 1 out of every 5 U.S. women was engaged in some type of mental health treatment. We’re all in this together, so don’t be afraid to ask for help –chances are some people very close to you are going through similar struggles.
