The Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line offers free smoking cessation counseling and can help you develop a quit plan that will work for you.
2. Your Primary Healthcare Provider
You should consult your physician regarding your quit attempt. You should talk with them regarding the potential use of pharmacotherapy (nicotine replacement therapy, or Buproprion SR 150/Zyban) and about other community or hospital resources that might help you in your attempt.
3. Surgeon General’s Tobacco Cessation Guideline
This website offers advice on quitting smoking and developing a quit plan in both English and Spanish.
4. QuitNet
QuitNet offers information, interactive tools and support mechanisms for people who want to quit smoking.
5. UW-Center for Tobacco Research & Intervention
UW-CTRI is a national leader in smoking cessation and offers information on the latest research in tobacco cessation and cessation services.
6. WWHF First Breath
The Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation has developed a program to help pregnant women quit smoking. First Breath is a prenatal smoking cessation program offered through local public health departments and prenatal care providers around the state.
