Lisa A. Cudahy Community Health Grants
Application Due Date: January 15, 2009 Award Date: April, 2009 Award Amount: A total of $10,000 will be awarded each year, with each individual grant not exceeding $2,500 Through the Lisa A. Cudahy Community Health Grants, the Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation (WWHF) hopes to promote and assist other non-profit community organizations in sponsoring activities that address women's health. By partnering with local, non-profit community organizations, WWHF believes it can complement activities that are going on locally to improve the health of women. Consideration will be given to proposals showing a commitment to WWHF's focus on the following health areas: cancer, cardiovascular disease, domestic abuse, mental illness, osteoporosis, and alcohol and tobacco use. Under this competitive call for proposals, applicants will be assessed using the following criteria:
WWHF seeks geographic diversity when considering application requests. Programs focusing on minorities are encouraged to apply. Grant funds may be used to support venue, food costs, speaker fees, posters, conference brochures, postage and other direct expenses of carrying out the activities of the proposed initiative. Grant funds may not be used to subsidize individuals directly for the cost of attending the event, or for salaries. WWHF asks that it be recognized in promotional materials, radio/television interviews, conference brochures, announcements during the event, and that complimentary exhibit space be provided, if applicable.
