Award Amount:  Five scholarships of $500 will be awarded each year to licensed registered nurses who meet scholarship criteria through a competitive review process.

The Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation (WWHF) offers scholarships to licensed registered nurses for advanced training to obtain a Parish Nurse certification. Support through scholarships can help increase the number of dedicated Parish Nurses available to rural communities as health education and outreach partners.

Parish Nurses have the unique opportunity to minister the physical, emotional as well as spiritual facets of women and their families. They act as effective health advocates, health educators and counselors, referral agents, volunteer coordinators, and support group leaders.

Scholarships are not available as reimbursement for completed courses and funds are to be used for costs related to tuition, travel, books and supplies.
