About the Presenters:
Karen Timberlake, JD, is the director of the Population Health Institute at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. The Institute seeks to generate and communicate the best evidence on health improvement for implementation into policy and practice across sectors, from business to health care to education and beyond.
Bryan DeJarlais is a third year physical therapy student from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, completing a clinical rotation here at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital (MSJH) in the acute care and neurological rehab settings.
Millie J. Jones, PA, MPH, is the Family Health Clinical Consultant in the Family Health Section, Bureau of Community Health Promotion at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Millie has experience in management and program positions in the Division of Public Health for over 20 years. She is committed to the life span approach for women and is interested in improving health promotion messages targeted to women 15-44 years of age.
Kristen Rasmussen MS, CGC, is a certified genetic counselor who has been with the Marshfield Clinic since 2004. She meets with individuals in every stage of life to discuss genetics and its role in causing or preventing disease, and to provide support and advocacy for those individuals.
Teri Woods, PhD, is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Madison. She specializes in behavioral interventions for physical illness as well as behavioral contributions to overall health. She is a past Champion of Women’s Health from The Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation.
